Kamenev...Yes Tampa likes Russians, but they also seem to have the sense to let them drop due to the Russian factor and take them in round 2.

Little Pepe bring NOTHING to the table and will be in the AHL more then he is in the NHL in his career.

This pick was surely made in jest, no?

Nope, I made it specifically because I believe the Sharks are going to be looking for that tough agitating type player to come up in a couple years and be that type of piece cup winning squads need.

Haha This was EXACLTY my thought as well. Penguins will take a forward with a fairly stable NHL certaintly. Look for a good-to-strong two-way player if they venture out and take a forward

The Canucks bloggers were calling for Point, but I went for Bleackley. I think he slid a bit far, and could end up being a late first-rounder.

Also, the draft is going at top-speed now.

5 picks in 2.5 hours isn't bad! At this rate, we might finish tomorrow afternoon!

Any surprises in the first 12 picks of the second round? Anyone sliding further than you thought?

Well the Washington Capitals were quite happy to see Pettersson slide out of the 1st round and right down to their selection in our Mock Draft.
