Default McKeen's 2014-15 Hockey Pool Yearbook

Hey guys. Just wondering how good the McKeen's hockey guide is compared to Dobber's guide. Will be buying Dobber's Season Guide(because it is awesome!) but may go with McKeen's also. Would love to hear input on their past guides if possible. Thanks in advance for your responses fellas!

I came across an interesting kickstarter that was started by the McKeen website. There's 3 options which all include memberships from 3 months up to a year subscription. I'll prolly go with the 3 month one just to get most of the lists and pdf guides. Here is the link for the kickstarter if anyone wants to check it out:

McKeens is a great offering, IMO the best of the print magazines. Last year, after 18 years or so of print they went to strictly online. The kickstarter campaign is an attempt to get it back into print.

McKeens uses scouting-heavy analysis, not so much fantasy analysis. But that works great as a supplement to my stuff. I know the founder and several of the writers fairly well. In fact, Brendan Ross, Matt Bugg and Darren Kennedy parlayed their work here for me into gigs with McKeens

McKeens is/was the only mag worth buying from a fantasy standpoint. It was always IMO the closest to presenting responsible and respectable fantasy insight. The online version was a disaster in my opinion and I refuse to get it again unless they go to print. I'm happy to help if that is their plan, but ultimately Dobbers is the best and is simply validated IMO by McKeens. I will say, I enjoy the old fashioned, flipping of the pages.

Yea i'm hoping they raise enough money to get the print version out there. I backed it as well. Trying a couple new guides this year along with my main Dobber guides.

Got an email saying that they didn't reach their goal. It looks like they only got 91 backers for just over $2K of their $9K target. That sucks big time - I really enjoy their guide and like getting the hard copy.
