I read this 1950s dystopian/post-apocalyptic book while on plane rides for work the past couple days. Fascinating take on nuclear warfare, religion, humanity, and the aftermath of a world sized disaster. For anyone who enjoys post-apocalyptic books I highly suggest it.

Next up is Alas, Babylon and I am Legend, neither of which I've read yet.

I have had Canticle on my must read list for some time. Maybe this summer. I read "Legend" and enjoyed it, but by then the whole Hollywood zombie thing was in full bloom, and it seemed very unoriginal. You have to remember that it came out years ago. Short book if nothing else so it doesn't take long to get through. Enjoy.

Yeah, I do tend to like some of the older stuff. One the best post-apocalyptic books I have ever read was On The Beach, which was also written in the 50s. That crap messed me up for a few days after, but it was so good!
