What is Verlander worth now? He’s averaged a K an inning for the last 5 yrs now I think. This yr his K’s are down and his ERA is up. Is this a slump or has his speed decreased finally? I’m looking to upgrade my pitching core and I was thinking of doing a buy low. Lee, Lohse, and then RP are really my only pitchers. I picked up Pomeranz, but one more ace would help.
Verlander's going through the transition right now trying to figure out how to pitch with lesser stuff. Someone to monitor right now and possibly stream as he's having trouble throwing that first strike and this month especially trying to hit his spots.
