Not a chance.
I would give up James Neal and both my Sedin twins plus all my draft picks for Stamkos, and still would get the offer declined in my league. You're going to get raped on this deal when Stamkos goes back to scoring 50 goal seasons. This deal is Neal or Kopitar straight up for Stamkos. Schultz and Sheahan have no value in this trade. MSL was important but it's not the end of the world for Stamkos. Don't make a panic move here that you will regret later.

Is it a choice between Neal or Kopitar, and then the rest? If so, I'd take Stamkos easily.

Goalies: Hellebuyck, Rinne, Varlamov
I agree, that this probably isn't enough, but I also wonder how far apart Neal and Stamkos will be going forward.
Neal's putting up 1.2 PPG this season. And I wonder how much Stamkos will suffer with his partner in crime, St. Louis, out of town.
I think you have to lean toward Stamkos here (because his track record says so), but I also wonder if, a year from now, this thread doesn't look silly. Neal and Stamkos could be within a few of each other, and Schultz could be a stud D-man.

Even for Kopitar + Neal + Schultz you have to walk away.

That's what I was thinking also. Is Neal that far behind Stamkos? Neal does play with 2 of the best players on the nhl. Schultz is only in his 2nd year but has sucked D wise.
I don't know..

I love Neal more than anyone else and I'll be the first to tell you that Stamkos and Neal are not in the same tier of player. With points only, it's a bit closer but Stamkos does have the potential to eventually break 100 in a season. I know Stamkos is coming back from a major injury and I do also notice that Neal seems to be consistently injured every year so it's not enought label him a bandaid boy, but the fear is always lingering. When you a have a player like Stamkos that is expected to score 50 goals every season then you have to tread carefully cause there's a reason why he's a sought after player at all times.

Just throwing this out there as I said in the other stamkos thread: Stamkos is a generational talent. I don't understand why people keep thinking he relies on MSL. Once he gets chemistry going with new linemates, he will be fine. Losing MSL doesn't somehow put him in the same tier as Neal. Meanwhile, you have a guy like Neal that NEEDS Malkin (a bandaid) to produce. To have them in a discussion of being "similar" is ridiculous.
Stammer is a part of the Big 4(Crosby, Ovi, Malkin, Stammer) that you should never trade.
