Note: I had to post this early, so the two late games weren't finished.

Studs
Ryan Johansen: What’s so good about Columbus is they have a bunch of players who contribute in a lot of different categories. Johansen’s 15th goal of the year tied the game last night, but it was the other contributions that make him a stud: Two pims, three shots, two blocked shots, two hits and a takeaway. He was also dominant in faceoffs, winning nine of 11.

Jonathan Bernier: The Lefas goalie made 42 of 43 save before losing in a shootout. While it’s rare for a goalie to lose and still be a stud, Bernier deserves to be in this spot. This is the 15th game this season where Bernier has made at least 30 games.

Marty St. Louis: The senior citizen is proving you’re only as young as you feel. And St. Louis must feel like a rookie. The elder statesman had a goal, two assists, a plus-two, five shots, one blocked shot, one hit and two takeaways. He now has seven points in his last five games.

Mike Cammalleri: The Flame player has been red hot in his last three games. Cammy had a goal and an assist last night to go along with four shots. In his last three games, the former Habs has five points.

Leagues with penalty minutes: All heck broke loose at the end of a blowout game between the Jets and the Oilers. Five Winnipeg players ended up with at least 10 minutes in penalties, a great thing for poolies who count penalty minutes as a category.

Duds
Phoenix Coyotes offence: Last night, the Coyotes scored one goal. This is the fourth time in the last five games Phoenix has scored only one goal. In that time, much of the offence for the Coyotes have dried up. Mike Ribeiro, Keith Yandle and Oliver Ekman-Larsson have no points in those games. What’s surprising is that in the last five games, they’ve played all Eastern conference teams, four of which aren’t in the playoffs.

Marc-Andre Fleury: A couple of days after I suggested Fleury be the #3 goalie for team Canada at the Olympics, he decided to pretend it’s the playoffs. Fleury gave up five goals on 29 shots in a loss to Ottawa. The Pens netminder has now given up 11 goals in the last three games.

Sean Couturier: The Flyers centre had an awful night, finishing with just one shot and winning only four of 14 faceoffs. Courturier now has just three points in his last 10 games, and is a minus-10 in that span.

The Nashville goalies: Last night was the third game in a row where a Nashville goalie has been pulled early in a game. Carter Hutton gave up two goals on four shots in six minutes of play.
