Studs
Paul Stastny
has always been rumoured to be on the trade block, and it’s been the same for the last couple of weeks. Last night, he put on a show for potential suitors, scoring two goals and two assists. He also finished with a plus-two, four shots, a hit, a takeaway, and won nine of 17 faceoffs.

Bobby Ryan must love it in Ottawa. Last night, he had a great all-around fantasy night, finishing with one goal and an assist, a plus-two, five shots, three blocked shots, two hits and a takeaway. Last night was Ryan’s 11th multi-point night of the season.

Oh, Evander Kane, how we’ve missed you. Kane returned from an injury, and didn’t disappoint. He scored the game-winning goal and added an assist. Of course, Kane is usually dominant in pools with a lot of categories, and last night, he was awesome in all of them. He finished with a plus-two, six shots, two blocked shots, one hit and one takeaway.

Let’s give some love to Robert Bortuzzo. With many Pens injured, Bortuzzo stepped right in and helped out in a lot of ways. He had an assist on the game-winning goal, and finished with a plus two, two shots, two blocked shots and six hits. He also had seven penalty minutes, five which came in this fight against Troy Bodie.

Duds
Kari Lehtonen
looked better when he was injured than he has in the last six games. Last night, he let in six goals against the Avalanche, marking the sixth game in a row that he has allowed at least three goals. In that time span, he is 2-3-1, with a GAA of 4.18 and a save percentage of .890. In total, Lehtonen has let in at least three goals in 15 of his 25 starts.

At the start of the season, many poolies thought Boone Jenner would break out this year after playing the preseason on the top line. It hasn’t worked out that way, and last night was a dud of the worst kind. He contributed two shots and six hits, but that was about it. The rookie has only five points in 24 gamees this season.

Super-duper dud:
David Backes
, for getting injured last night. In my keeper pool, I now have Stamkos, Malkin, Letang, Gaborik and Backes on the shelf, and have missed games from Spezza and Schultz. Stupid players with their stupid injuries.
