    Default Studs & Duds 12/15

    Studs

    Saturday Night's Alright...
Tyler Seguin appeared as Stud #1 in last Saturday's entry and here he is again with a 4 point performance against the Winnipeg Jets. So far this season, Seguin has had some explosive nights against weaker teams (Wpg, Phi, Cgy) but has been pretty quiet otherwise. At any rate, I'm sure Seguin owners didn't mind it last night!

    #124
Martin Brodeur added another shutout to his all-time leading total. Marty made 33 saves to shutout the Tampa Bay Lightning last night, leading many to wonder if Cory Schneider will ever become a #1 goalie in the NHL.

    Quick Work
Evgeni Malkin managed to score 1 goal and 2 assists in just over 12:00 of ice time before being taken hard into the boards and injuring his leg. Here's hoping that his recovery will be swift for Malkin owners (myself included), because this guy has been absolutely tearing it up lately.

    WTF?
Chicago, boys, the one team I require you to beat every year, especially in Toronto, are the Maple Leafs. The Hawks came out totally flat last night as the Leafs took it to them in a 7-3 rout. Of course, the Hawks had rookie Antti Raantas in net (who has looked pretty good so far) and pulled him for about-as-green-as-you-can-get Kent Simpson, but all the chirpers at work on Monday morning will ignore that fact.

    Oshiet!
Blues forward TJ Oshie managed to be on the ice for 2 of Columbus' 3 goals last night while registering 0 points. Oshie has been a fairly consistent point (mostly assists) producer this year, so hopefully last night was just a little road bump!

    Even Quicker Work
Craig Anderson managed to stay in last night's game against LA for a whole 4 minutes! Andy allowed two goals on four shots before being yanked, leaving his fantasy owners (and Sens fans, I would assume) with a sour taste in their mouths. Andy's numbers on the season are a far cry from what they were a year ago. This year: 22 GP, 9 W, 3.37 GAA, 898 SV%... Last year: 24 GP, 12 W, 1.69 GAA, .941 SV%
