Why don't you keep Getzlaf and trade him straight up for McDavid in 2015, cause all those other offers really suck.
After two wins and two 2nds the first 4 years of the keeper, my team has fallen the last couple of years. Most of my older assets have been shipped out for young players and picks. I don't see myself competing this year, but would like to be competitive in the next 2-3 years.
Lots of offers are coming in for Getzlaf, and I'm not sure whether to sell (high?) on him now or keep him and have him be part of a winning team in a couple of years. Some example offers:
2014 1st rnd pick + Yakupov
2014 1st + Armia + Hagelin
2015 1st + Skinner + Coyle
2014 1st + 2015 1st + Steen + Zucker
Those are from 4 different teams. The bottom 4 finishers have a relatively similar chance at winning the 1st overall pick in the draft lottery (consideration for McDavid in 2015).
Would you keep Getzlaf, or hope that some of those picks and prospects would turn into productive help in the next few years?
Thanks!

I doubt anyone trades MacDavid straight up, I have a guy feeling he'll be almost untouchable. I'd say if you can get an RNH, Drouin, Mackinnon esque player, a 2015 first rounder, and another good young player that wouldn' t be bad!
