"Miller to Mile High..": Future Headline or Fiction?
I know it's early on and facts are still coming in, but could this be the time we see Ryan Miller get traded if Varlamov misses significant time? Here's why...
-Buffalo sucks and it's inevitable that he gets traded sooner or later..(hell, Vanek just got traded!)
- It's an Olympic year so he really needs to prove himself and separate himself from his competition..
- Who wouldn't want to work under the great Patrick Roy? Makes sense he'd go to a team with a legendary goalie as their coach..good fit potentially.
- Giguerre isn't exactly young and isn't the answer long term.
- Colorado will definitely come back to earth but I still see them as serious contenders.
Or is this all just wishful thinking and me being proactive because Miller is on the WW...?

I could definitely see it happening. It's a great fit for the Habs.I'm curious as who the Avs are going to give for Miller though.

It would solidify their goaltending as varly has been injury prone in the past.

Now the question is should I stash Miller on my team for the chance he gets dealt? I'd drop Bishop but having Miller as a third goalie is definitely worth the risk. Fortunately, I'm fairly strong in goal already (fingers crossed!).

Dammit I really don't want Colorado trading a young star or a high draft pick for Miller. Hopefully Varlamov settles, learns his lesson, and gets his head back on straight so he can put this behind him and continue playing awesome hockey.

So I take it you'd move bishop without hesitation..
He's 1-9 with a 3.13 GAA, playing behind the worst team in the NHL. His value right now is negative. If he gets moved he could be great again, but until that happens its tough to justify rostering him in a smaller league.
Basically I'm trying to beat the rush here. No doubt his numbers so far aren't appealing, but I want to snag him just in case.
I'd argue that I'm in the position to take on a flier him, or am I wrong?

I hear you. I'm contemplating getting him for basically nothing off the last place owner who has him.
If you have room to stash him its probably a good futures play.
I'm almost ready to pull the trigger on this one..unless You can convince me Bishop will absolutely continue his level of play..
If you can afford to lose the starts you would get from Bishop, its justifiable, though I dont want to influence you. Maybe you can deal Bishop and get something for him first?
It seems like an obvious and logical move. For that reason, it will never happen.

Looks like Miller could be a real possibility.
The Av's just traded Downie so they're making moves left and right..wouldn't be surprised to see another one.

Varlamov is allowed to travel with the team though....
what about hiller? or another stab at elliot cheaper options than Miller
