Varly in jail, now what

Have Rask, Price and Varly. Even if Varly makes bail, he won't be playing any time soon and won't be allowed out of colorado. FAs Giggy, Harding and Holtby. Thoughts on dropping Varly for one of those 3. Thanks in advance.

Yep. The moment Holtby got dropped this year after his horrendous start, I dropped Miller and grabbed him.

not sure they will let him out of the state with pending felony charges. if they do, he has bigger issues and a leave of absence isn't out of the question.

JS now the ultimate handcuff starting all road games at worst.

edit: and that is assuming bail, which he can't get until a judge sets it. Can't just post bail on a felony like you would on your run of the mill "athlete gets DUI, sleeps in his own bed" you usually read about.

None, JS would step into the starter role, and a back-up would be called up and get very familiar with the opening and closing of bench doors at the Pepsi center.

Or Colorado can now be very much in the market for Miller/Hiller/Reimer

According to nhl.com, Varly has been granted permission to travel with the team (does not mean he gets to play) but he can travel, even though he does have a restrianing order imposed on him.

It will be interesting to say the least, to see how Patrick Roy and the team handles this - do they go out and grab a Goalie (Miller?) and also how the team chemistry is impacted with this completely unforeseen development.
