I think I'm leading the IR race

PM me if you're serious about dealing a goalie because I sure as heck need a decent starter right now.

    cheers

I was going to counter but I was still evaluating the original offer, you have to admit that Karlsson being part of the equation needed additional scrutiny

I'm still interested in a goalie though.

Haha fair enough. Send me something of similar value, I'll take a look.
On another note.... 35 buck FAAB for steve OTT? Ballsy haha. I don't know that he has much in terms of offensive upside if ennis permanently pushes him off the top line, but he could benefit from the trade, I guess. And he adds a ton if value with hits.

So ..... this whole Varlamov situation has me thinking ... lol

    Sometimes hesitation does pay off.

Still thinking of an offer, don't want you to think I've abandoned the idea

AHA!!! So this is where everyone is conspiring. I firmly object to any trade that helps my opponents. haha. On a different note, I wish it would show all free agent bids. I mean the failed ones too. Give me an idea on where peoples heads are at. Plus show how crazy i was to draft Toffoli, drop him, bid 13 to get him back, and probably drop him again when Carter gets healthy and he gets sent back down and then bid 26 when he comes back up again.

    Long Live the King.

I'm amazed that I am still floating around the 9 - 11 spots while getting absolutely zero help from my goaltenders *insert surprised smiley here

So which of the top 10 goalies are available for trade discussions?

    Cheers

Wow, we haven't chatted up on this league since before Christmas? Shameful.

Congrats to "Hail to the King", Dobber Pro Wales winner 2013-2014!

Runner up was The Eh Team, and Ringstingers finished third.

I have to admit I'm particularly proud of my performance in the Pro this year. I had thought for the longest time that I was in over my head, that you guys were simply too good, but I stuck with it and worked the wire and man games hard. A tough season for me, though, no doubt about that. Drafting 3rd overall landed me Stamkos, and we all know how his year went. But since we were snaking, and goalies starting going at 7 and 8, Stamkos also meant I missed out on any goalies I would have wanted, and then mine both hit the IR before Christmas. I was sitting in either last or second to last through mid/late January. But I never gave up, worked hard for stats where I could grab them, and eventually everyone was more or less healthy and I climbed. Finishing in 4th feels great, I had aimed for the top half of the league. So, determination pays off!

Congrats once again to the champ and the runners up. Curious to hear if we are continuing on next year, and if Hail to the King is moving on to bigger and better things.

All Hail King Henrick! With those beautiful blue eyes, how could I lose? lol.

Anyways I was more lucky than good. Except for Bobby Ryan I was healthy most of the year and yeah anyone who lost a Stamkos or Rinne after drafting them in the first round had a huge mountain to climb.
Plus I have to thank the site and the other poolies that write articles here. Drafting Mackinnon early as well as Gudas and Nyqvist were key. Holding on to Lundqvist when i was at the bottom and he wasn't even playing consistently was good too. I think the format has something to do with the lack of chat. Set you lineups once a week. Maybe make a wavier claim once a week. So at most you are probably checking the league twice a week. I think this affects trades too. Weekly lineups mean you need both your goalies to start the majority. Nearly impossible to get by on patchwork goaltending like in daily leagues. So 15 teams starting 2 goalies, I don't think there are 30 goalies that were guaranteed the majority of starts at the beginning of the year so trading for a starting goalie is very expensive if it's even possible. Anyways thank you all. It was a blast. And I don't think there are bigger and better things, I would do this league again in a heartbeat.

I sent Chinny (PRO-Campbell) and sixhands (PRO-Wales) a PM today.
    Hopefully they get those somehow.
If not, we may have to explore how to set up the PRO leagues again.
I really enjoy that challenge, since it's my only "weekly set" pool and I like the strategy behind scheduling & looking at a full week of games.

Worst case, we'll gather up 16 people from the two leagues that want to participate in that format again.
