Glad to see some comments coming in. Looking back now, a full week later, some picks definitely stand out more than they did.

I really like Ott in round 10, as he should provide output that's almost comparable to someone like Callahan (round 5), but in a much later round. Unfortunately, it also made my Brouwer pick (round 7) seem premature. I'm even more shocked now that I was then about Bailey sliding to round 23. If anything, I thought he'd be overhyped and taken too early. He'll definitely overperform in relation to where he was taken. And Jannik Hansen in round 20 should prove to be excellent value even if he doesn't find his way into the top six with the Canucks.

Let me preface this by saying that - by my own admission - I made several questionable picks, but a couple of selections from other teams that I like even less now are Pavelski in round 7 and Eller in round 11 (both due to ice time and top six issues) and Ruutu in round 12 (back to being injury prone and hits haven't been great in a few years).

Anyone else have further thoughts?

Actually... one of the other Dobber Forum Members did prepare one... but the file size was too big and we couldn't figure out how to shrink it enough to post it on the forums.

Apparently picking at the top is a huge advantage. The top five:

Woodrows Warriors - 110.5
Fire Wings - 109.5
Das Chicleteur - 108.5
Lancione's Wild West - 105.5
The Comish - 98

I will say that for me ever put in an honest effort in this league some things are going to have to change. The whole set your lineups by Wednesday for Thursday thing cripples me. I miss one or two deadlines and I give up. Why we don't do lineups on Monday for Monday like every other league is beyond me.

Honestly, the format is a problem. I understand weekly FA grabs to prevent obsession from meaning better players, but what on earth is the rationale for weekly roster setting in a roto league? It means EVERYONE falls behind on the GP pace and there is zero ability to recover. It means that the outcome is mostly decided at the draft, which is boring. Yawn.

It also kept people from being more involved. If there's no incentive to log in every day then it falls by the wayside as we're all in pools that do grab our attention every day.
