Thanks for setting this up Pengwin, just one comment, 3 IR spots seems like a bit many for me. I think it makes things a bit more interesting when having to decide to hang on to a guy and burn a roster spot or cut ties. I think 1 is enough, maybe I am in the minority on this one though.

Hi all,

Never done a league with FAAB for waivers.
I get the silent auction part of it. But in terms of timing how does it work, I ssume all waiver transactions are done on a set day(s) of the week?

I was new to FAAB last year when I did it for the first time.
I had the same questions that anybody new to the format would have.

One more questions about the league. How does the Commissioner Dummy team work?

The commissioner team (mine) will draft a team of players that won't play in the NHL and won't be selected by any (sane) GM.
Once they are on the team, I simply won't insert them into the line-up. The "dummy team" will finish last in all standings - so it won't impact the standings of any other team.

The "dummy team" serves two functions:
1) It allows me to have a team so that I can oversee the league as commissioner and rule on trades.
2) It allows me commissioner status - which is helpful to quickly "renew" the league in future years.

*The dummy team will be drafting last (16/16) and will be on auto-pick to quickly move the draft along.
The team drafting 15/16 will be essentially picking their two players in a row... without any worry that the "dummy team" will take one.

Good luck to all, enjoyed the draft except for my pick being hijacked by habs in rnds 1(giroux),3(buff),5(dubnyk),7(edler) not even joking, that how it goes though! Breezed through the rosters kofax looks pretty solid especially if bernier wins the starting job and sid is healthy. I messed up an couple picks but that usually happens
