If we're grading it, and have comments to ones where we can't give a score, should we post it here to give people a chance to respond? Or just give it a zero, or what?

Just leave it blank. Ones that we can't grade might end up with zeros or we could talk about them and how we could agree to veiw them.

Might be a bit easier (and more successful) if you put it into a googledoc format -- then anyone can edit it without the download/upload.

I am open to that if it is easier. I haven't used googledoc format before, how does it work?

You create a Google Doc online, and have the settings so anyone can change it.

The only negative is that anyone can change it. Someone else tried posting something last month, and someone kept screwing around with it.

I ranked them all as part of the fun and once I figure out how to zip them I will upload mine. All of the forecasts can be ruled hit/miss except 2:

    1. "Carolina's Jiri Tlusty-Eric Staal-Alex Semin line combine to be the highest scoring line in the NHL". We should be able to settle on a definition of "line". I'd propose using Frozen Pool.
    2. "Kunitz makes team canada, and is canada's top forward in the tournament." defining "top forward" needs to be completed. I'd propose that either (a) he drops "top forward" (b) he says "is a tournament all-star" or (c) top scoring or top goal getting forward.

Also I didn't see my predictions in there for what it's worth.

Edit to add: I gave more points for "over" predictions then "under" predictions for individual players. Many of the under predictions which seem far-fetched become quite reasonable wih even a minor injury that causes a player to miss 10-12 games.

I am basically computer illiterate. How will I know if my 5 fearless predictions made it? Thanks for at least trying to include me if I didn't get it in on time.

    1. Agreed. Frozen Pool will decide the answer
    2. Let's stick with stats: He gets the most points (win or ties).

I am really sorry I missed your competition. I will add them to the zip for those who haven't download yet. For those that have and ranked, when they submit we can ask them to rank yours.

Thanks. I noticed I added mine just a few minutes before you closed the contest so I can understand how that happened. If it doesn't get added no big deal.

    These are always fun.

I missed the contest, but its all good fun and it doesn't matter that much to me.

    1. Steven Stamkos leads the league in points.
    2. John Tavares hits 100 points.
    3. Anton Khudobin steals the starters job for Carolina.
    4. Bobby Ryan collects only 65 points.
    5. Jonathan Bernier finishes with 35 wins as Toronto's number one netminder.
    6. Evander Kane finishes with 35 goals.
    7. Radim Vrbata finishes with 40 goals.
    8. Jay Bouwmeester and Alex Pietrangelo become the best D pairing in the NHL.
    9. Rich Clune leads the league in hits.
    10. Pekka Rinne bounces back and wins the Vezina Trophy.
    11. Sharks win the Stanley Cup.

    Probably pretty shocking, I know.

I just think they are that good.

The infusion of kids like Hertl and Nieto will only help.

Heheh true. You aren't the only one that claimed they would win... I think a couple of ESPN writters and analysts selected them as well.
