I am loving the seperation of the threads...too much disappointment when I saw a new email but it was just discussion. I am happy the picks are moving along. I am also hoping that this goalie run keeps going, there will lots of great forwards for me to scoop up in round 2-3 (of course I won\'t name them)...only like 47 more picks till I\'m up again....

i wanted a goalie but regardless 95% of the leagues out there will require malkin crosby ovechkin to be the top 3 picks. out of curiosity.....would anyone swap malkin + a pick for their first round pick + a higher pick than the pick i am offering? just out of curiosity, i may or may not do it haha

The Comish will pick soon. Sorry we were out drinking (Hopefully it will effect his pick).

It\'s done. I took the ageless (36) wonder Brodeur. It wasn\'t easy to take him, but I should be good for 2-3 years in goal! Now where did I put that protege?

    mapletreemarty is up.

The situation for my pick at 19 isn\'t looking good for a tender, I can tell you that much.

EDIT: I can stalk too, mapletreemarty, I see you!

praba, Brodeur is risky, but don\'t you think he\'s got 2-3 years left? He is chasing Patrick Roy\'s all-time wins record. He\'s still in that NJ system that will only get better with another year of experience. Who (player wise) are they going to lose this year?

I just have to get a couple of young goalies (much) later in the draft and hope that in 3 years, one of them is the next big thing (the new Price?)

Even in a dynasty league, Brodeur is still a pretty good. As you said, I also think he got 2-3 good years of hockey and if you combine him with a young stud, you\'re in business.

I have two goalies I\'m hoping I can get one of, and I can tell you that if Brodeur got to me I would definitely have made the same pick as the Comish did. Brodeur is a stud. Crossing my fingers!

Brodeur is a great pick. I was hoping he would drop to me because everyone wanted kids.
