These are the lines the Flames practiced with this morning. Would they actually run a bottom D pair with only 13 NHL games between them against Nashville?

The only reason to play Prout would be because he has a high GP number beside his name. Andersson is far more talented. Unless you're advocating playing Andersson with Hanifin, which I'm all for.

I am. Stone shouldn't be on in the top-4 of a bad AHL team.

Hopefully it will become clear within a few games. The (accurate) hot take is that by the time Hamonic comes back from his injury he won't be a top 4 D anymore.

Well, uh, that was rather distasteful. At least Neal is starting to score, I guess.

Big shakeup in the lines today:

    Gaudreau - Monahan - Bennett
    Tkachuk - Backlund - Czarnik
    Dube - Lindholm - Neal
    Hathaway - Jankowski - Ryan

This is how the lines should have been from the start of the season. Hopefully this can get the team going.

anyone know whats up with Michael stone? is he injured or just being benched? I have him in a deep league that counts hits, blks, and SHTOI. he has value and curious why he hasn't played in a few games.

    thanks.

So Monahan not injured which IMO was pretty obvious. Lots of speculation that he was but it seemed pretty clear that he wasn't.

Rittich was injured second half of the season though. That's interesting.

    Lindholm, Gaudreau, Neal all healthy.

Basically in the playoffs they just got outplayed in a short sample. Shit happens.

I’m surprised about Monahan as he looked so lethargic and disengaged for most of the series.

He has a clear shot at making the team. Very possible that one or both of Jankowski and Bennett will be moved. They need the cap space cleared.

.......He played the first 12 games in the AHL, and only went down after that for a conditioning stint after injury. He's already made the team.
