I need a new show...

I watched the first episode of The Mandalorion. I thought it was good, but not great. It gives a little insight into the life of a Star Wars Bounty Hunter. One thing that bothers me about it, is that I love Pedro Pascal, but all you are getting from him is his voice. He is covered with a plastic mask at all times, which makes it difficult to show off his acting ability and I think it is a huge barrier. I am wondering if they are going to be able to get around that throughout the series and if they are going to be able to get him out of the mask.

Watched the first episode of the The Morning Show

Really enjoyed it and looking forward to seeing how the show develops.

Shades of the Newsroom/Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, but obviously less Sorkin-y.

Wife & I haven't had a solid hit on a show to keep our attention for a while.
We both got on Metacritic the other day, hoping for some high-end scores for the new line of shows from Apple+ and Disney+... but the reviews are underwhelming.

68 Mandalorian (We usually snob-it to nothing under 70... but I'm a Star Wars geek, so I'll watch this in my own time. Users give it a 7.0)
60 The Morning Show (hard to not like the trio of Aniston, Reese, and Carrell... we'll probably still give it a watch. Users do give it a 8.2, which is pretty good)
37 See (forget it... anything under 50 is absolute steaming garbage... so we aren't going there)

But here's what we have on tap to try out:
87 Primal (Amazon), User Score 7.6. Apparently this is about a prehistoric caveman and his relationship with a T-Rex. This sounds... weird, but interesting, we'll give it a go.
82 Unbelievable (Netflix), User Score 7.4. Crime/investigation/case drama. Sounds interesting.
73 Looking for Alaska (Hulu), User Score 7.0. We'll probably try this out since I'm a sucker for teen/coming-of-age movies/shows. Also was a book that teens have been into.

Whatever the wife is into.
Last couple of weeks have been us alternating our 3 options:
i) Hockey (on ESPN+/NBCsports), when it's my turn and she's reading/phoning
ii) GoodDoctor/QueerEye, when it's her turn and I'm reading/phoninig
iii) BigMouth (on Netflix) when we both feel like watching silly stuff together (almost finished with BigMouth s3 though)
iv) Just started AmericanHorrorStory s2 (back from like 2012)... about 2.5eps in, pretty good, as we both like the weird/creepy/twisty stuff.

Also, really enjoying Slumptown.

Unbelievable is in my queue to view. I am just working my way through Stranger Things 3 right now while I am on the treadmill in the evenings. Another one Ive heard good things about is called Living With Yourself. Daybreak is in my queue from Netflix as well. So much TV, not enough time.
