New season of True Detective has been enjoyable.

The first season was unbelievably good, but I gave up 1/2 through the second season.. I just couldn't stand Colin Farrell or Vince Vaughn for whatever reason, despite liking both actors in a lot of their other work. Maybe I'll have to give season 3 a go.

Overall I didn't even think Season 1 was worthy of the hype it got, but it was good. Didn't bother with Season 2, given the poor reviews. Season 3 hasn't quite had Season 1's highs, but shares it's similar high floor.

I agree about season 1. I thought season 2 was fine. It was worth watching but it clearly was not as good as season 1.

Just started watching Marvelous Mrs Maisel - really enjoying it so far. Another gem that I wouldn't have given a second thought to watch if not for this thread. 8.5/10

Also started Homeland (yes I know it's old) which is pretty solid. 7/10

After a 2 year hiatus I've picked up Vikings again - another great show if you're into conquests / viking mythology. 8/10

Finsihed Daredevil Season 3 - it was ok, but has definitely fallen off from the first 2 seasons. 7/10

I'm a little sad to see Netflix losing all the Marvel properties - they had a good run there with Daredevil/Jessica Jones/Luke Cage/Punisher.

Just binge watched Sex Education on Netflix. Wickedly great show. Solid story, writing and acting all around. Probably one of the better Netflix TV shows I've watched in a while. Can't wait for season 2 now.

I will say this, it's not for kids and NSFW.

Halfway through season 2 of the Punisher after watching S1 E1 mid-last week. It's hard to find shows where the good guy is the biggest no-bullshit bad ass. Well worth watching as many others have said - Some graphic violence that some may find hard to watch.

it's a shame that after two seasons it has been cancelled .

Wife and I have been watching pen15 on Hulu.
Man... you have to be in the right mood for it... but if you are... it is some funny stuff.
We are probably 8-9 episodes in and have been binging it 3eps each of last three nights.

It is based around two best friends: 7th grade dork-girls. (But the actresses are 25 or 30 years old)
The rest of the cast of the 7th grade classmates are... 7th graders. (or about). And that makes it pretty funny.
And... it's a period place, taking place around 2000 - when AOL dial-up was still a thing.

Worth a watch because you'll know two episodes in if you like it or don't.
Not for everybody, but really good if you decide it's in your wheelhouse.
