Anyone else watching The Haunting of Hill House on Netflix?

I am five episodes in and it's pretty damn good.

Wife and I finished it in 3 nights.
And that's TEN one-hour episodes.
Up past midnight a couple times.
Really, really good. Scary/horror shows rarely do a good job.
Totally recommend it.

I'm 4 episodes in with the girlfriend now... so far I'm quite impressed. It's a little slow at times but I like that it explores the character development and family dynamic and builds up the horror rather than relying on cheap jump scares

I watched the first season of Rake on Netflix in two days and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The show is about an ethically-challenged, hard-living lawyer in Australia that deals with all sorts of personal issues in his life. Solid acting, quirky story lines, witty, clever, and interesting character development. I highly recommend it.

Finished Making a Murderer season 2. It wasn't as addictive as Season 1 mainly because I am familiar with the case now and I know that they're still in jail....but still a good watch.

I am FINALLY starting Narcos.

Catastrophe (Amazon - Metacritic 83, 87, 93) is pretty good comedy. American guy, Irish woman - one-night stand + pregnancy = relocation + marriage?. We liked it. Lead characters and supporting cast are really good.
Homecoming (Amazon - Metacritic 83) solid drama. Julia Roberts is administrator of PTSD military men at odd test institution. A bit slow - be prepared for that - but it does come together nicely by end.

We also watch "The Good Place" (NBC) as our background show when we both feel like surfing internet on our phones.

I agree, it wasn't the same as season 1, but it was super interesting how his defense attorney went deeeeep into the scientific side of things.

Narcos is a great watch as well. Season's 1&2 with Pablo are the best IMO, but 3 was still good. I think they just released 4 (Mexico) the other day?


I'm not sure if it has been brought up earlier in the thread, but I just started Peaky Blinders last week and I've binged to season 4 already. It's set back in 1920's Birmingham with the IRA/Italian Mob/Mafia/ British Gangs, etc. Highly recommended for anyone into mob/gangster shows.

MAM2 was pretty good. I finished that one up as well. I found it almost as interesting as the 1st season. I am surprised they released it when they did considering they are still going through the legal motions to work on getting him a new trial. Dassey is screwed though, unless something can be done with Avery's case that helps him.

Pretty good dark witty comedy about relationships/marriage

Amazing show.

Honestly, I'm expecting more out of this season. El Chapo is an.... interesting? person, so I have high hopes for it. (Hunting El Chapo) by Andrew Hogan is a great read if you're into the DEA side of the story.

Absolutely. I actually started watching because I heard Tom Hardy was in it (Alfie is a great character), who I'm a big fan of, but Cillian Murphy truly is amazing in that role.

Thats funny because I actually started watching for the exact same reason, Tom Hardy's roles often dictate my viewing habits.
