Been watching the Handmaids Tale.... and I'm now hooked. Finished 7 episodes now and am glad the next season is available now. We usually only have time for one show a night (kids and have to be at work at 7am) so we have been spending our only available tv time on this show and it is not disappointing. I would have resisted watching the show if it didn't get some good reviews on this thread so thanks very much lads! This thread does good work.

I was like you at the beginning - wrote it off as a chick flick type of show. Handmaids Tale is one of the most intense shows I've ever seen. Second season is just as strong as the first.

Unsolved on Netflix. Biggie and Tupac Docu-series, kinda like the OJ Simpson one that FX made. Watched 1.5 episodes and it's done really well so far.

I was into Handmaid's Tale for a while but had to stop. They shove the oppression shit down your throat wayyy too heavy. I think it got out of hand in season 2. It's like torture porn and I no longer found it enjoyable to watch. It's like the point of the show became less about the plot and more about political tropes, which is when I have to call it quits.
My latest:
The Missing (Starz original): British kidnapping mystery series. 2 seasons, each one is a fresh plot. I really enjoyed both, but Season 2 was easily better.
Castle Rock: only 2 episodes into this new Hulu show, but loving it!

Looking forward to Mayans MC, which starts early September. Definitely one of my favourite genres, although I thought Sons of Anarchy was hit and miss. Edward James Olmos is a brilliant actor. Hoping they don’t “F” this up. I like a lot of FX originals. Justified, Rescue Me, and The League were all awesome. The Shield is one of my favourites of all time.

Once you're done that I highly recommend Better Call Saul, it's a great spin-off of Saul Goodman's character and others from the BB series.
