I need a new show...

3 Body was good/great (somewhere in between). Wife and I both read the first book (2nd felt too thick) - so it was a very fun watch to patch together similarities/differences.
I didn't love a few of the cast... it's the Game of Thrones producers and they cast the guys that played Samwell Tarly and Davos Seaworth.
Maybe they felt bad for "type-casting" Samwell Tarly - but that part was probably the part that played the poorest for my own viewing. (My wife was like "Game of Thrones WHO?"... so it didn't bother her)

We are watching Ripley - but we actually pivoted on Saturday night and watched the movie with Jude Law & Matt Damon - that was super fun.
We'll go back to the show for sure.

And we were debating on Fallout.
I told her it was based on a "video game" - and normally she doesn't like that... but she thinks she'll give it a try.

Good to hear more solid vibes on these.

Blue Eye Samurai - 8.5/10
True Detective: Night Country - 6.5/10

^I looooooved Blue Eye Samurai.
Thought they did a fantastic job... but it's definitely a niche-watch.
They got some great voice actors/actresses and really good graphical work.
I was super impressed.

I watched first 3-4 episodes of the True Detective - but then I put it on pause... and haven't gotten back to it.
The stories and characters have all been done before - I feel... recently. It's good - but it feels "done".

I tried really hard to get into Blue Eye based on all the amazing reviews but even after 3 episodes it wasn't sticking. Guess I'm just not an anime guy.

Saving Sakic...I remember that offer sheet. That was crazy. I will certainly checkout that documentary.

Baby Reindeer on Netflix is nuts. It's a true story about a stalker, and one episode is REAAALLLY sexually graphic. It has 100% on rotten tomatoes, and I'm about 60% through the series and it's intense.

Wife and I just finished watching the 4 part documentary called Quiet On Set. It's all about the way child actors were treated while employed at Nickelodeon back in the 90s. Toxic culture and abuse that went on there back in the day during some of my kids favorite TV shows when they were growing up is crazy.

Apparently it's available on Roku TV, Apple TV and HBO Max.

It's kinda funny that the guy who brought most of the popular shows on that Network to life was a guy who was in one of my all time favorite movies called Better Off Dead. If you've ever seen that movie, Ricky the neighbor, created a ton of stuff on Nick. I had no idea until I watched this doc.

It makes a lot of the actions of child stars make more sense. I'm blown away how the actors union doesn't push for more protection/sources available on set when a child is on set. Like how isn't there a therapist and some form of an officer (doesn't need to be an actual officer, but something) on set?
