You sure you want Crosby right now with all the uncertainty?
In any case, your offer isn't good enough. In a keep 4, you'll have to be throwing around names like Stamkos/Malkin/Giroux/Tavares to get Crosby.
I personally wouldn't be going for Crosby in a keeper anyway so it's probably a blessing in disguise that you can't get him without ridiculously overpaying (think Tavares +++).
You wouldn't want to keep Crosby in a keeper? I wouldn't mind taking the risk on him, especially because he was healthy all year and you just can't draft such an elite talent anymore. I would not. Neal and a 1st rounder..what is that, like a Sedin/Nash type character for Crosby? It's not like Neal is unproven. I personally only like making 2 for 1 deals during a season, not at the start of one because injuries/streaks are unpredictable.
