This is a fleecing I recieved but I thought I would share as I am still having nightmare. This past January Dobber\'s Dad bent me over for Sundin. To give myself a shot at winning I paid Horton, Elias, Little & 2nd round pick for Sundin, Tkchuck & Sykora.

This is my fourth season in my keeper league... but memories of the early days are conjured up when I think of \"fleecing\"

I had inherited a \"veteran\" team and had visions of grandeur that I could win the league championship... soon, however, it became evident that I wasn\'t going to win anything so the firesale began:

October 14, 2005- both trades occurred the same day - wow!
Palffy and a 7th Rounder for Torres and a 2nd Rounder
(Ziggy retired within 3 months - got a great pick upgrade)

Lemieux, Lindros and a 3rd Rounder for Afinogenov, Rolston and a 2nd Rounder
(Mario retired towards the end of January, Eric battled injury and shut down for the year shortly after the swap; basically I got Maxim and Brian for nothing as the picks ended up being a wash)

These, truthfully, were more timing than a fleecing... I, and the other GM, had no idea of the pending retirements and inactivity... my good!

But... TWO DAYS LATER on the 16th...
as karma would have it, I didn\'t have the same luck regarding Brett Hull... yep, he too retired but I had not \"luckily\" off-loaded him to anyone in a trade... I had to drop him outright, oh well. You can\'t win \'em all!
