So much has gone wrong for this team that I'm not sure much of the blame can be put on Gibbons. Now that's not to say with some more breaks and less injuries next year that Gibbons won't still turn out to be a bad hire......but to suggest another manager coming in would have solved their pitching issues doesn't make sense.
While AA is at it, why not sign Josh Johnson to a new long term, big money deal so we can keep this sweet feeling going for a few more years.

The more I think about it the more I dont blame Gibby(thou I cant stand him). Id put a whole heap of blame on Walker. I really believe he has been in way over his head all season. A vet experianced Pitching coach would have garnered more reswpect from the JJs Buerhles & Dickeys. He would have been able to see the issues and made the needed tweeks.
Why would they listen to an inexperianced Walker.
Sooooo true, I have never been a fan of Pete Walker.. They should have addressed this last summer when they knew all these veterans were coming in.. And if they wanted a ex player in there, then bring in a winner..
