    Lehner is a guy with elite upside. I can see Bishop being more of a journeyman type.

    This is pretty much it. Bishop has done very well for himself and he'll be a good goalie around the league, but it's Lehner's team for the taking.

    Goalie development is always hard to pin down, but Lehner has taken a huge step this year....last year it seemed like he was bored with the AHL or pouting about being there and his numbers suffered. When he did get NHL time he was fantastic. He showed a lot of maturity this year getting into much better shape, and accepting his role developing in the AHL for now.

    Lehner is the type of goalie you build a team around. Bishop is the type you bring in as a FA to help stabilize the position. Just different classes of player.
