Haha, sorry for the misleading title...

Which goalie would you rather have for the remaining games, Hasek or Ellis?

I need SV%, GAA, and especially SHO. Wins I can sacrifice.

Their schedules are relatively even in terms of opponents.

    I\'m leaning toward Ellis...

I think odds favor Hasek just based on the team in front of him however will he play enough to make a contribution for you is a real hard question - I think they are trying to preserve him the best they can for the playoffs.

Ellis seems to have found his game as have the Preds - he might be the better goalie of the moment - however, I would look at the matchups closely and try and find out what you can about Hasek\'s status and go from there.

Ellis, he will play more games than Halak.

The fact that the Wings have just about locked up first place, Hasek will be getting some time to rest his multitude of injuries heading towards the playoffs. Detroit has 5 games left, and Hasek will probably only start in 2, maybe 3 of those.

I like Ellis #\'s against his divisional foes, NSH has 2 games left vs. STL and 1 vs. CLB, DET, CHI:

    CLB 1-0 36 save SO
    STL 1-0 0.67/.970
    CHI 1-1-1 2.67/.902
    DET 1-1 2.10/.940

Hasek by comparison (DET 5 games left, 1 vs. each divisional foe, extra game vs. STL):

    CHI 0-2-1 3.27/.861
    CLB 2-1 2.37/.842
    NSH 2-1 3.01/.889
    STL 1-2 2.32/.887

So, to summarize Ellis is 4-2-1 1.89/.936 1 SO vs. the Central, while Hasek is 5-6-1 2.78/.873 ... hmmm I wonder who\'s Hotter

    Go with Ellis.

I am going to say Ellis because Nashville thinks they still have a chance and they will go with the hot hand. Hasek is going to be rested I would think from here on out. Osgood will still get the wins but hasek is their goalie for the playoffs, until he gets hurt first game. HASEK is done..

Osgood and Howard next season, you can count on that..
