Definitely a memorable one. Still trying to get my wife to watch it so I can see it again.

My last three visits to the cinema:

JoJo Rabbit - Great film, clever, original and good acting. The kids were great.
1917 - Going to shock people but I thought it was slow and boring. And when it did pick up action-wise, it was too 'Hollywood' for my liking.
Personal History of David Copperfield - Different but didn't grab me.

See I get that about Dunkirk. Found that movie very slow. I still liked it but I thought 1917 was on another level.

Watched Ladybird last night. The missus asked if she could put on something light and fluffy. I think she expected me to play a pc game rather than watch it. Ended up watching and enjoying. A simple story told well. Dont expect big intense scenes. Dont expect twists. Its a straight story, but I did enjoy myself.

Totally agree about 1917. Nice story but too slow which made it very boring for me.

And Honeyland. It really is great, almost unbelievable that something so random is actually true and happening in front of the camera.

Watched Joker. For the life of me I had no clue it was a Batman precursor, lol. Not even a little bit until they mentions Thomas Wayne and I’m like “wait a minute, this is Batman stuff!”

Excellent acting by Joaquin Phoenix. Ties the whole Bruce Wayne’s parents dying outside the theatre thing in.

    I know right!

Honestly I had no clue what I was in for other than a movie about a guy that had created a Joker persona. Not thinking that it was the beginnings of The Joker. Not exactly one of my brightest moments agreed.

    Haha that's amazing.

Just watched the Two Popes. The banter between the two was great.

    Watched Ford v Ferrari.

It was good. I wouldn't have been upset if I spent money to go watch it in the theatre.

Marriage Story. What a haunting movie about something I hope no one has to go through.

Agreed, it was really well done. Didn't get as appreciated by the Oscars as I was hoping.
