Finally watched Hyena Road. Other than the dumb Hollywood-type situations the guys found themselves in, I loved how accurate the sets were. Very different watching a movie where the people are wearing uniforms and using weapons you are familiar with. This Canadian gives it a 9 out of 10.

So not great? What if Travolta didn't play Gotti?

Went to see Crazy Rich Asians on the weekend, 9/10 loved it. Some parts are a little over the top but I was pleasantly surprised that I enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would. A very cute romance/comedy.

That's a bad score to Asian parents.

Saw Deadpool 2 last night. 7.5/10, maybe an 8. Pretty good movie.

I saw it too... enjoyed it much more than I thought I would. 8/10 (very high considering I'm not a romcom fan).

Interesting that they are showcasing a Singaporean family when in the real world, the Singaporeans tend to be more reserved and discreet with their wealth - as opposed to HK and Mainland China asians who are much more obnoxious and in-your-face with their wealth lol

    HAHA

I acknowledge that this is a somewhat "offensive" comment now but it made me laugh out loud

Chef (Netflix) - It was my second time watching it. Just a fantastic, light, feel-good movie. 9/10
Megan Leavey (also on Neflix) - Very good, but not quite as good as I'd expected. 7.5/10

Thx for the recommendation - I was in need of an easy-to-watch feel good movie and saw this after reading your post. Hit the spot. 8/10

I'll have to check out Chef. Half way through Leavey - not loving it, but I do like the lead actress

    D. Pool 2 - still love the gross humor and makes me laugh every time. Solid 8/10
Skyscraper - staring the Rock. Solid summer popcorn flick with a bit of cheese on top. He makes for a hell of a long jumper! 7/10

Super Troopers 2 - watched this with a few buddies up at the cottage on a laptop - stupid movie but funny at the same time. We were reciting lines much of the next day. May be a better watch while baked or at least with a few bags of Doritos.

Hockey Pools? Too many to mention. Points only, salary cap and dynasty.

Cool, thanks for this list. I might hurry up and check out Star Trek and JW before they leave (maybe even Pete's Dragon, but I doubt it). Looking forward to finally seeing Black Panther!

I am a huge Queen fan (my favorite Rock band) and went and saw Bohemian Rhapsody the other day. It did not disappoint.

I will admit, there wasn't a lot in this movie that I wasn't already aware of but with both Roger Taylor and Brian May as executive producers, there was a lot of stuff that went on behind the scenes with this band that was new to me and made the movie that much more enjoyable.

Rami Malek was awesome as Freddie and I don't know where the found the kid to play Brian May but damn, he was a spitting image of him.

Even if you aren't a big Queen fan, this movie was still fun to watch.

    10/10 for me.
