Also watched Twister for the first time. Meh. Pretty ridiculous and very predictable but still entertaining at times. Helen Hunt at her most beautiful helps.
I remember Twister from when I was younger. Haven't watched it in well over ten years, but the memory of Twister has pushed me towards seeing this movie when it comes out:

at least disaster movies are honest. You know when you go to a theater to see one, there are some main characters, they fight the disaster and generally make it out alive by some crazy miracle and all is well. Truly a feel good story. lol I enjoy them for what they are.

The most hilarious thing about Twister was that every time they got close to a tornado, it sounded like it was growling like a lion or something.

There are many hilarious things about this film... that is a hallmark of all good disaster porn movies.

For sure. I could have gone on and on, but didn't want to get myself too excited.

Godzilla (2014) was effin fantastic. But I'm a sucker for a monster movie...any monster movie. I grew up on godzilla. Sunday afternoons over Grammas for full course pasta dinner (at 2pm). My Grampa and I would watch the old Star Treks or the Godzilla movies. Good times!

I was a bit disappointed with Guardians - expected great things considering the hype, but I was bored for long sections of the film.

Not sure why, but this one didn't resonate with me.
