    1. Reyes (speed+contact)
    2. Bonifacio (speed+contact)
    3. Lawrie/Cabrera (contact+ some power)
    4. Bautista (power power power)
    5. E5 (power power power)
    6. Lawrie/Cabrera (contact+ some power)
    7. Rasmus?
    8. JP?
    9. Whoever is DH'ing or Izturis?
I think it's more likely we see something like this:
    1. Reyes
    2. Cabrera
    3. Bautista
    4. Encarnacion
    5. Rasmus
    6. Lawrie
    7. (DH)
    8. (Catcher)
    9. (2bag)

This of course is assuming that the jays don't move any of their current roster...which I'm pretty sure they will at some point. Could flip Lawrie and Rasmus around but yeah.

St. Louis has the best lineup in baseball IMO, but the Jays are top-5 now.

    Pretty impressive.

I dunno, toss him into that (DH) spotas a maybe. I've seen a lot of people project Encarnacion to be the DH and Lind to be the 1B but for the life of me I don't understand the reasoning for that. Encarnacion has been solid since moving over to first and looks a lot better there than Adam 'I can't play defense or hit left-handed pitching' Lind.

Make Lind compete for playing time as far as I'm concerned.

Wow. The Jays are active. It seems like they're making a push.

LOL I totally forgot about Lind. If he's not playing 1B what does he do? Anyone know how his defensive stats look? I guess you could platoon him at 1B? Worst-case.

I wouldn't put him down as a DH.

Just wondering when the rest of the league will wake up and realize there's activity going on with signings, trades and such.

Lind will be trade bait or riding the pine.

More like trade fodder with that contract and the production he's had over the past couple years lol.

Hopefully never! Give the Jays ALL the free agents!

Hahahahaha.....that is exactly what I thought. We'd be lucky to give Lind away let alone get anything in return. I like him as a matchup play and a bat off the bench. Pathetic value, I know but you need bats like that coming off the bench come playoff time.

As for the Cabrera signing, it seems like good value. My expectations of him are quite tempered but he's definitely an improvement over what we had. I just hope he doesn't come with too much bagage. Can anyone speak to his reputation in the clubhouse?

A risk worth taking for the jays (year one is covered by the marlins sending $8mil the jays way). I doubt he'll be the number 2 batter (most likely bonz) due to the speed it will bring to the top of the order. He fits somewhere around 5-7 (#3 is Jose's and Edwin is #4). This move really improves as their bench as well.................and now all the jays have to do is find a manager.

Lind for bullpen arm(s). Take that to the bank. Although I do love the idea of Lind as a platoon/pinch hitter. If we are to assume the Jays are making a run at the post-season you can never have too much depth.

I still maintain that regardless of how big all these moves have been, the biggest move the Jays can make is to sign a really strong manager who can establish some real leadership/maturity in the clubhouse.
