Default My Rookie of the Year Breakdown

    http://blog.playnow.com/nba-2012-13-rookie-of-the-year/

    The heavy favorite:

Anthony Davis – New Orleans Hornets (+225 to Win Rookie of the Year)
Davis, the former Kentucky Wildcat standout, has the two ingredients needed for any rookie to succeed – skill and opportunity. He will play a lot for the Hornets, and he will be a statistical contributor right away. Davis is already an elite defensive player – he can change the tone of a game with a block or a key rebound just as easily as he can with a thunderous dunk. He is about as much of a sure-thing to be an NBA star as it gets.

I dont follow a lot of NBA, although this year could be different if things keep rolling with the lockout.

I am gonna say Jonas Valanciunas has a similar setup to Davis. Opportunity and skill. I will take a chance and say he will win the ROY this year.

Also, Raptors slide into the playoffs in the #8 hole.

    Bradley Beal -

as soon as John Wall is healthy, these 2 could create quite a duo. Wall's athleticism and passing ability will ensure the Beal has the ball and has space and time to shoot. And shoot he can.

Damian Lilliard of the Blazers. I still think Davis wins it, but Lilliard would be my less popular pick.

Your original picks are looking great Jeff.

At this point I think it's pretty much going to be a two horse race between Davis and Lillard. Barnes is making a bit of noise with his recent success...too bad it had to come after I dropped him lol.

It's gonna be Lillard this year, especially when the Blazers make the playoffs.
