I'd say that is a very, very good team.

I'm SHOCKED that Pavelec fell to pick #100 (Round 7) in a 15-team league. I mean, he should be considered a 20th-25th best goalie... which means that about 5-7 teams hadn't filled out their 2nd goalie by round 7. That's ballsy (not for an auto-draft... but if somebody is LIVE... ballsy waiting).

Getzlaf at 79 is incredible value.
Getzlaf went 55th in the Pro draft & 62nd in the Smythe draft.
What a steal! Steal of the draft possibly!!!

Yeah Getzlaf at 79 is a sick pick. Looking back I should have taken him before my E.Kane pick, but I went for a winger because I felt that the C pool was rather deep. I am certain that I will regret it

If I had to audit his team, I'd say he is ridicously stacked at C, very solid at LW & G, but he's weak at RW after Iggy. I'm not a believer in Horton, Ryder won't be getting prime minutes with the Jagr/Whitney signing. His D is pretty weak IMO. But with a such stack quatuor at center, he will be a threat in all the offensive cats!

Thanks for posting the drafting for the rounds Nowayout.

Only one error that I see.
You are missing Kiprussoff in spot 2.28. This would shift all other players down one.

    Here is my team (HOSERS).

Quite honestly, my interest in fantasy hockey took a serious beating with this lockout so I did very little research and predraft ranking, but didn't want to pass up the chance to compete in the Entry Tier.

I was hoping to take a goalie with my first pick (one of Lundy, Quick, Rinne ideally), but once The King went 1st I knew that idea was toast. Overall, I like my depth but will likely need to add some PIM and possibly hits to compete there.

    C: Seguin - Datsyuk - Ribeiro - M. Johansson
LW: Neal - Ennis - Ladd - Tlusty
    RW: Hossa - Havlat - Little - C. Smith
    D: Del Zotto - Kronwall - Carle - Leddy - Josi - Nikitin
    G: Fleury - Lindback
    BN: B. Boyle - Carcillo - Prust - Pronger (here's hoping!) - Nabokov

A lot of guys were scooping up rookies / young guns to try to strike it rich, but I tried to stay the same route for most picks and try to scoop up guys I thought were underrated instead. Guys like Ribs, Ennis, Smith, Havlat, Nikitin.

My Steal of the Draft for myself is Havlat in the 17th round with pick #252.

I was pissed that he fell that far! I was debating between a few goalies when I took Lindback and Pavs was one of them. If I knew I could have gotten him that late I would have taken a stud D like Chara, Weber, etc instead of Lindback.

The goalie run to start the draft was crazy though and I didn't want to get left out!

To answer your question first Pengwin, yes I did. With that in mind I consider it a victory that I only screwed up one.

I wanted to do like Angus did with his experts league article on the main page, but couldn't figure out how to capture each team individually and post like he did. I tried the simple copy and paste but it wouldn't come out clean and organized like my OCD requires it to. I would have had to do loads of editing to get it to look the way it does when I type it out. So I just went the old fashioned route, even though that was more work.

    Seriously OCD is a bitch.

Now I'm off to run the results through HPG and see if my team is as bad as I think it is.

I've been kicking myself ever since I picked Kovalchuk in round 2. I don't know why I thought that goalie run in round 2 was going to stop and that I could wait until round 3 to pick up my 2nd. That decision right there took me out of contention I think.

It was hard to pass on some of the studs floating around in the 2nd round, but the fact I was able to get Seguin in the 4th made me feel a lot better about my decision lol

I was hoping that Niemi or Lou would come back around in round 3, but they went two picks ahead of mine. I just figured at that point any goalie left wasn't much above a turd so I grabbed Kopitar and then held my nose and took Marty in round 4.

Still seems crazy to regard Marty that way, but the glory days are behind him. Hopefully he can still be a serviceable #2, but I'd be lying if I said I was confident of that.

    Default My roster

    nordiques:
c: benn (lw), dubinsky (lw), steen (lw), shaw
lw: j.staal (c), dupuis (rw), malone, latendresse, larose (rw)
rw: lupul (lw), franzen (lw), doan (lw), kennedy (lw), hansen
d: byfuglien (rw), souray, garrison, meszaros, boychuk, quincey, r.murray, b.mcnabb
    g: rask, howard, elliott

i was ready for the goalie run at the beginning, but right when i decided it was time to pick pavelec, someone picked him just before me...i settled for elliott. lots of rookies (murray, mcnabb, shaw) and bab's (latendresse, steen, souray, malone, lupul...). success will matter on them. the dual eligibilities will help me with the injury bug though. potential for shots, pim and hits.
