Default Trade away BenJarvus or McGahee?

    We start 2 RB's, 2 WR's, 1 WR/RB and 1 WR/TE.

RBs: McCoy, SJax, McGahee, BenJarvus, R Williams
WRs: AJ Green, Heyward-Bey, S Rice, LaFell, J Baldwin, Royal

I am considering to trade away one of my bottom three rb's for an upgrade on WR.

    1. Who would you rather keep of McGahee and BenJarvus?
    2. Who has the most trade value?

It is a 14 teams league, so RB's are scarce. Most guys dont even have guys like McGahee/BenJarvus as RB2, and especially one that autodraftet is in trouble. He has Mike Wallace, Brandon Lloyd, Steve Johnson, Torrey Smith++ as WRs but is stuck with Spiller, Redman, Hillman, Turbin as RB's.

    3. Who would you target? I was thinking about offering BenJarvus+J Baldwin for Steve Johnson + Fleener (I've only got Daniels as a TE and he has Graham).

    1. Since neither guy is a long-term solution, i'd go with McGahee. I think Den moves the ball better than Cinci because they have more weapons and the superior brain - Manning.

    2. I believe McGahee has more value.

    3. I think your Fleener + Johnson deal is quite possible. I could be wrong, but Smith may be a nice fall back if things fall through with Johnson.

Thanks! Does it matter that he has Hillman (McGahee's backup)?

The trade is now my BenJarvus, Jon Baldwin, Eddie Royal for his Steve Johnson, Hillman and Fleener.

Would give me an upgrade on WR, handcuff McGahee and some matchup depth at TE with Fleener and Daniels. Hit the button?

Hillman is a waste - he's not even the handcuff and I'm reading he may be inactive in early games this year (until an injury) so try to get something different than him?

Trading that pile for Steve Johnson and Fleener is probably pretty good - I like Baldwin and Royal as backup WR this year who will have some good games but I'd hate to have them as my starters. Am I missing something, though - you don't HAVE to start a TE? If that's the case acquiring Fleener isn't helpful - when I mix the WR and TE together the top TE's translate nicely (not sure if Owen Daniels does?) but really the #40 WR is greater than the #15 TE so I might move away from TE altogether if I didn't have to have one.

See if you can get Steve Johnson and Torrey Smith for Benjarvus, Royal and Baldwin and then use the extra roster spot you have to go out and gamble on the Ogletree or whomever types. I wouldn't hesitate to send McGahee instead of BenJarvus either - let him keep the 'handcuff' in Hillman - I'd rather have BJGE as the sole guy in the backfield (Cedric Benson's role) in Cincy than a crowded pass oriented offense that may not fit McGahee very well in Denver. I honestly think Knowshon Moreno is going to dip into McGahee's time due to his pass catching....

    1) I think BJGE is the better option. Cinci rb's have a very nice track record of producing every year and they haven't changed a thing. Den has a very tough schedule this year.
    2) Even though I like Law firm better, McGahee has much more trade value. Simply because everyone thinks that Manning will return to the form of seasons past.
    3) I really like Stevie Johnson this year especially if The Harvard Grad can stay healthy this year.

We have to start one TE and then there is a WR/TE spot as well. I doubt that he'll let both Smith and Johnson go, but I'll have a chat with him.

Pass on this deal. This is ugly. Hillman has been demoted to 3rd string back = nfl death, unless someone gets injured. Besides this, you have a little more potential with your remaining players.

so, what should I go for? I kind of want Fleener to be a part of the package, as it gives me better depth at TE. Daniels is decent, but I want a second TE as well and since he has Graham he doesnt mind giving up Fleener.

I am pretty sure that I cant get him to give up both Johnson and Smith, so it would have to be Johnson, Fleener and one of his RB's. He has Gerhart, Redman, Blount, Turbin and Hillman.

Maybe McGahee, Baldwin, Royal for Johnson, Fleener, Turbin? Or just do McGahee and Royal/Baldwin for Johnson, Fleener?

Could of course just do McGahee straight up for Johnson and find a second TE on the waivers later when I know who looks better of my backup WR's. Should I try to get Lloyd or Wallace instead of Johnson if I go for the 1 vs 1 deal with McGahee? I've actually got Johnson projected higher than the other two, but I'm open to opinions.

I like your side better in both deals. What TEs are available on the wire? Is Rudolph (Min) out there?

Rudolph is not available, but there are still a few options. We're talking people like Kendricks, Moeaki, Scheffler, Clark, Heath Miller, Bennet, Watson.

I'm considering something different as well now.

I give McGahee, Rice and J Baldwin
for Steve Johnson, Torrey Smith and Turbin.

The plan is to approach the guy who owns Marshawn Lynch and offer him Turbin for Jared Cook. He has Vernon Davis, so I think I can get his backup TE for a pretty good handcuff.
