I agree with Muller unless there are handcuff situations involved.

First, my preference would be neither - but on upside I take Kevin Smith over the clydesdale in the prancing competition Ingram. With all those RB in New Orleans, how is Ingram going to do anything? On the other side, Kevin Smith was amazing the last few games last year and if he's the feature back in Detroit he could be top 15 in that offense. Ingram has more talent and is safer to get 8 pts. each week but if you want to go for it (I would) - take Smith.

This plus, Kevin Smith is a pretty good ppr option. He should see 15-20 or so touches a game.

    Default Take the pick upgrade?

    Thanks for the advice guys.

I also am not too crazy about both K.Smith or Ingram, but a guy in my league is hot on K.Smith and asked me about him and came up with Ingram for K.Smith, and has now actually upped his offer to Ingram+5th round pick for K.Smith+8th round pick, which is pretty enticing to me. This is a 12-team keep 2 league so there will be some decent guys in the 5th if I want to keep it, or I can use that pick for future deals if I want. Only problem is K.Smith is my #2 back so I'm not sure if this is totally worth it as I really feel I'm one back away from competing for the title again (I won the league last year and this year didn't have the greatest of picks but still managed to have a half decent team I think).

    Here is my team:

    QB - Drew Brees
    RB - Arian Foster
    RB - Kevin Smith
    WR - Calvin Johnson
    WR - Jeremy Maclin
    WR - Justin Blackmon
    FLEX - Rashad Jennings
    TE - Jason Witten

    BN RB - David Wilson
    BN RB - Robert Turbin
    BN WR - Mike Williams
    BN WR - Santana Moss
    BN WR - Mario Manningham
    BN TE - Brent Celek
    BN QB - Josh Freeman

So......if K.Smith was your starter and you were shallow at RB, would you still trade away K.Smith+8th for Ingram+5th?

The people who already prefer Ingram I assume this deal becomes a no brainier for u, but for those who prefer Smith let me know what ur thoughts are. Thanks again...cheers

Considering Smith's lack of durability and how pass-happy N.O. is, i'd roll with Ingram, even if he shares the load.

    Default Offer increased to McGahee

So....didn't end up trading away my Kevin Smith for Ingram as I really wanted to take advantage of using Smith this weekend against the Rams, and since Smith went nuts this weekend and Ingram was an afterthought it looked like it paid off

Now.....the GM has upped his offer to McGahee for Kevin Smith....what do you all think?

Not a big McGahee fan, I'd roll with Smith. McGahee had a nice year last year, but that's about it for the past 4.....

difficult to have really good years when you're stuck behind Ray Rice on the depth chart. Smith will face stiff competition from Leshoure and maybe even Jahvid Best later this season.

McGahee is the safer pick and should be a lock for about 1k yards and 6+ TD's.
