    Default Brady/Williams for Newton/Ridley

    I've been offered:

    Tom Brady and DeAngelo Williams

    for

my Cam Newton and Stevan Ridley

I'm weak at RB - Lynch, RBush, McGahee & Ridley but Brady is a nice upgrade to Newton.

    10 team H2H.

    6 pts for Pass/Rush TD
1 pt for 25 yds passing/10 yds rushing
    2 pts for pass > 40 yds/rush > 20 yds
    -3 pts for fumble lost/interception

Is the slight upgrade (and consistency) at QB worth weakening my RB? Pretty new to Fantasy Football so any advice would be great.

    Thanks.

williams / brady side all day. Ridley not much better (if at all) vs williams and I much prefer brady over cam just for history alone. Williams will have a monster first week and mabye try to deal him to a donkey down the road.

also with passing TD's = rushing TD's it minimizes cam's upside of rushing TD's

I'd pass. NE has o-line issues, which will effect Brady and Ridley. Brady's numbers will be down from the norm, which makes him and Cam real close. Cam's mechanics have improved and his coach already went on record with saying he will not restrict Cam's running. If you recall, he was their best GL back last year. I remember partly because I owned him. Williams also splits carries with Stewart who is the big body. Cam and Stewart will get the GL opportunities over Williams. At least Ridley, albeit stuck behind that line, is the sole starter and not splitting carries with another back like Williams. Furthermore, i've seen a ton of rankings that have Ridley at 31 and Williams at 28, separated by only a couple players. That's extremely close, especially when neither will be an elite option. The last thing you want is to own a RB who is apart of a RB by committee situation, and then a running QB on top of that.

Take the Brady side. He has so many weapons and may sniff the season totals he put up in 2007. If you still really like Cam and are not sold. DWill is a far superior player than Ridley. Carolina is a RBBC situation but so is NE. Billy like to sprinkle touches amongst all of this backs.

    Brady>Newton
    Dwill>Ridley
