Hey guys, if any of you were interested, I started covering the Blue Jackets over at The Hockey Guys.net. I've written a few pieces thus far, but here is a link to my recap of the Rick Nash trade. Hope you enjoy!

As posted in the NYR thread, this is an excellent bit of collaboration between Rangers and Blue Jackets bloggers (Blueshirt Banter and The Cannon, respectively) to analyze the Nash trade and what each player brings to their new surroundings. It's a 4-part series, but I can't seem to locate no 3:

My favorite question:
Can we please find a way to sync up Artem Anisimov's gun celebration with the cannon you guys shoot off after every goal?![]()

GO WINGS!
Haha, that Anisimov bit is awesome.
Rick Nash took out an ad thanking the fans today
http://www.bluejacketsxtra.com/conte...anks-fans.htmlFormer Blue Jackets captain Rick Nash purchased a full-page ad in today’s Dispatch to thank Blue Jackets fans for nine seasons of support.
Nash was traded to the Rangers last month after he requested a move in January, His ad, appearing on page C5 of the sports section, includes a giant photo of him holding his stick high in salute of fans in Nationwide Arena and the following text:
Dear Blue Jackets fans,
Thank you for the unwavering support you have shown me over the past nine seasons.
I am so fortunate to have had the chance to call Columbus home and to say proudly that I am from the Buckeye state.
Thanks for the Memories. Thanks for everything.

Nothing unexpected here. Interested to see how this will affect Atkinson and Johansen specifically this fall.

First I'd like to say sorry for the lack of posting here. It's been a rough couple months for me and I just haven't felt like I've had the time to sit down and write something up. But an exception has to be made for (really) some of the biggest news in franchise history.
http://bluejackets.nhl.com/club/news...id=DL|CBJ|home
The Jackets officially hired John Davidson today as their President of hockey operations after months of rumors. It's the underrated moves like this that can truly turn a franchise around. Davidson became the St. Louis Blues' President in 2006, shortly after they had bottomed out and selected Erik Johnson 1st overall. In the next 6 years he would turn them into a President's Trophy contender.
He has an amazing resume in regards to young player's development which bodes well for a team like Columbus. Are the days of the CBJ being a "prospect graveyard" over? An example of this is 2008 when the Chicago Blackhawks hired Scotty Bowman as their senior advisor for hockey ops. Within two years, building off the young core they had acquired, the Blackhawks were Cup champions.
I don't know if Columbus is two years away from a Cup, but this is definitely a move to get them on the right path. Johansen, Anisimov, Brassard, Atkinson, along with the impressive defensive group the Jackets have put together....this is a team ready to make some noise in the NHL.

#CBJ Cam Atkinson has a "minor lower body issue."

#CBJ cuts are C Boone Jenner and D Tim Erixon.
So looking at the game summary against Nashville, Dubinsky got a total of 4 seconds PP time. I thought/hoped he would be used more on the PP given the lack of scoring power in Columbus. Yeah, I know it's just one game but it's still telling that the couch would not put him on the top PP to start the year. I was looking for something like 30 points and 60 PIM from Dubinsky this year. Am I crazy?
I can't promise I'll try but I'll try to try.
