i, too, think that those are the top two lines when all are healthy...
morrow was pretty bad last year, but i still think he brings enough intangibles to help a team. wouldn't suprise me to see him on another team to start the season, though....

Can't rule out Morrow being moved but Nieuwendyk has said moving Morrow isn't currently in his plans. For what that's worth, I mean ask Otter how fast those things change.

“We had a good talk the other day, and I told him I very much believe there’s a place for him on this team,” Nieuwendyk said while vacationing in upstate New York. “I told him I fully expect him to be out there on the power play in front of the net where he’s always been.”
Got the Google cache of that article. Here it is: http://webcache.googleusercontent.co...th-stars.html/

If they did move him I'd like to see them bring in some help on the blueline. There's some good prospects in the pipeline there but they still need immediate help there to really get over the hump in the short term.

if morrow stays with the stars, the bottom six will likely shake out along the lines of:

    Morrow-Eakin-Vincour
    Nystrom-Fiddler-Garbutt

The battle is on for bottom six roles. Morrow, Nystrom, and Fiddler are pretty much locks, and Eakin should stick right out of camp. Vincour should continue to improve and like Eakin there's a great opportunity in front of him for the taking. Garbutt, Wandell, Petersen, Morin, and the rooks fighting for what's left over.

Gotta figure this is Wandell's last best shot to make it. If it doesn't click, he'll be heading south literally(Cedar Park) and figuratively(the "A"). Morin could be an interesting long shot after the numbers he posted last year with the Texas Stars. He figures to get an extra look based on that. Whether he's a true late bloomer and he parlays that into a role in big D remains to be seen.

Jordie Benn re-ups for a one year, two-way deal...so the dream of constantly seeing:

    J.Benn (J.Benn)

    lives on!

Thanks for posting that news b0ndon. Sorry for the lack of updates the last few days. I'm on my first week of night shift and I'm still trying to get everything sorted out. I'm also working on adding twitter feeds and scouting good blogs that are centered on the Stars. I'll be getting more active with this thread over the next few days as I get settled into my new routine.

One of my keeper teams is actually called Dallas Stars and includes:
    *Benn
    *Eriksson
    *Morrow
    *Ott (had him pre-trade)
    *Roy (had him pre-trade, yeah!)

    So, I'll be looking often.

I know last pre-season I was looking for training camp lines and found that one of their guys on ESPN gives pretty good updates, hopefully you have him.

    I do now.

I've seen his name on a few articles on ESPN Dallas, but hadn't gotten around to adding his twitter feed. Hell until a couple of days ago I was one of the last 2 or 3 people on this rock that didn't have a twitter account.

    Thanks for the reminder Pengwin.

    Pengwin is non-twitter, non-Facebook.
    I'm ancient.

My twitter is mostly for following news, don't really see myself tweeting much. I did setup a facebook page about 4-5 years ago, something like that, but I only logged in a couple of times right off the bat and I've never been back. Just never saw the point of it myself, but I guess there's a few people out there that like it.

My twitter is pretty much exclusively for following hockey-related-news. As far as facebook, have it, never use it anymore but it is a handy tool for the several times my phone breaks.

    lols!

Good to see new life in the Stars thread!

Mueller should have been on the Stars radar. Esp at that price. Rooks guna have a good gate to run out of this year fosho. Jagr on Benns line is the bees knees imo.

I'm happy to bring new life the Stars coverage and stoked about the opportunity to expand the coverage. I can see even now I'm going to have to make room alongside my Red Wings stuff for the inevitable Stars gear.

Got him on the follow list right out of the gate, but thanks for the tip anyway. I'm going to be working on expanding that list tonight.
