Well, after no debate whatsoever...
The Edmonton Oilers are proud to select Nail Yakupov.
Yakupov is the consensus top prospect in this 2012 draft, and as such, not even Tambelli could screw this pick up (I hope). He brings a passion to the game and a balls to the wall playing style that the Oilers management loved when they first drafted Taylor Hall. Not only is he the best goal scorer in this year's draft, he's also an underrated playmaker. While the Oilers largest need is arguably in goal and on the blueline, a significant need is also secondary scoring, an area Yakupov can certainly help in almost right away.
