Was there a Lucic-style collision or did he just fall down?

didn't see a collision. he twisted funny while making a save. immediately threw his glove in the air and rolled over in obvious pain. couldn't put any weight on his left leg as he was helped off the ice.... looks like lower body somethin-or-other.

He appeared to have twisted either his ankle or his knee. I really hope I'm wrong but since Rask had arthroscopic surgery on his left knee in the off season I don't think this is gonna be good

I was at the game right near the Bs net. The above description is spot on. They didn't test his flexibility or anything like that, so unlikely to be groin.

I was watching the game this afternoon - the joys of NHL Center Ice - and from what I saw he was reaching for his abdomen area, or where the leg meets the midsection (left leg it appeared).

As for the play: a shooter was coming down the right wing, and fired a shot that was initially going toward the far post. Rask stretched out to make the save with his right leg (far post) but the puck was deflected off a defender's stick and changed direction toward the near post. Rask had to stretch out his left leg (near post) after having basically committed to stretching out toward the far post with his right leg.

It looked pretty awkward, and Rask had to be helped to his feet and off the ice. I guess we'll see about the severity of the injury in the coming hours/days.

After watching the reply, it looked like he grab his groin as soon as he hit the ice. Elliot Freidman just confirmed he won't make the road trip.

NICE... I was worried I was going to make it through a season without a major goalie injury.

At least he can join, Sid, Letang, Kulikov, Toews and JVR in the infirmary on my ALL INJURED team.

anyone heard any specifics about his actual injury (aside from the ample speculation)? I know he doesn't get a lot of starts but he's money when he does get one and this is the absolute worst time for him to be out for me with the playoffs about to start
