6 million is less than he would\'ve gotten on the open market, and 4 years is a good term... I think Anaheim did well on this one (though I have an inkling that Giggy was rather interested in staying put).

I still think 6 million is a little high for Giguere [I\'d like to see 5 - 5.5 but realize this is unrealistic], but he will be good for this kind of money on a team as responsible as the Ducks. 4 years seems reasonable. Is there a better GM than B. Burke?

This is great news to me. I was worried that after I acquired Giguere in my keeper league last year that he would end up on a team like FLA or BOS and I would end up getting screwed.

Thats the plan. Hiller becomes the backup... but don\'t expect him to see more than 20 starts a year for the next 3 years.
