I gave:
Nash, Semin and 2 late 1st round picks
I got:
Crosby, 2nd and 3rd round picks. Went on to pick up Clarkson and Tootoo for my two open roster spots.
What hurt the most in that trade was the 1st round picks. Semin is a band-aid boy and could be a KHL threat. Sid will take Nash's spot on my keeper list. All in all it's a gamble, but IF it pays off I should have the best set of keepers in our league.

What type of player are you losing with those late 1st round picks? It definitely hurts to lose those picks, but I think essentially Nash + picks [and not too worried about Semin's status] isn't too big a price to pay for taking a chance on the Kid.

Usually the top 2 NHL draft picks will be taken in our top 3 picks. Next is a mad dash for teams that don't have 2 solid goalies. Our past draft saw 6 goalies taken our of 12 picks. Here's a couple skaters that were taken early in our draft.
Jagr, Lecavaler, JVR, Dubinsky, Hartnell and Hornton.
I'm fairly confident in my drafting ability for our league. I always seem to find those gems in the later rounds. eg. Weiss (4th round), Fleischmann (7th), Karlsson (8th).
Anyways back on topic. I'm very pumped with the idea of Crosby maybe returning. I honestly made the trade expecting him to miss perhaps the rest of the season. So if he returns before the end of this season I consider that all bonus! Even without Crosby I've slowly been climbing up the standings and I'm in the middle of a tight playoff race. Crosby would be just the push I need to jump into the playoffs and do some damage.

Is this seriously a f*cking joke.
Some of you may remember a month ago I made a deal for Crosby when his window to come back was still two games. An hour after the deal....it's announced he's out indefinitely. Trade went through though, which made sense.
Today.....I made a f*cking to trade Sid/Callahan for Vinny/StLouis. Just a few hours later he's f*cking skating and the ramblings say he's ready to return.

I think it's a pretty big step between "starting to skate" and "ready to return"... let's not get ahead of ourselves here.
That's rough man lol, ugh them's the breaks sometimes in fantasy hockey right?
But as blayze mentioned above, while its a positive sign there is still a ways to go I would think before he can suit up, and there's a very good possibility he could suffer a setback (hopefully not).
A little frustrating is I was unlucky enough to face the Crosby owner the last time he came back, and now there's a possibility he could be back for my rematch against him next week!
