This is bad news for sure, but long-term this won't affect him. I guess it could possibly affect his draft stock, but even then, missing one or two months shouldn't dissuade teams who had him ranked high before from still taking him first overall. The only thing this really affects is Sarnia. Their GM just pulled off quite a few deals in the hopes of making a strong playoff push. That is obviously severely derailed if Yakupov is out for an extended period of time.
