Matthew Dumba will be a healthy scratch again Tuesday against the Nashville Predators.
Dumba, 18, is being kept around the team for the "experience," according to coach Mike Yeo. He'll likely be returned to juniors after his fifth game with the club.

that's gotta be the dumbest thing I've ever heard dontcha thing Ross? lol
If you're thinking about maybe giving him a few shifts then great, do that and let him have a little taste of the bigs. But otherwise send him down so he can continue to develop his game, sitting in the press box isn't helping him

I thought about this for a bit. I think the Wild feel he will observe and absorb some of the professionalism in practice and in the locker room. Not playing in games gives him a mid season break after a busy summer and fall, then the World Juniors over the holidays. He will be fresh for the 2nd half of junior, and in the meantime he will see the work he needs to put in and speed he needs to get acclimated to.

At least, that's my theory. Could be bullocks.

Good little read on Heatley from Russo.

Talks a little bit about what he dealt with last year, what Yeo likes about him, and how happy he was to hear about Parise and Suter signing in MN.

    Rotoworld:

    Jonas Brodin - D - Wild
Jonas Brodin has been called up by the Minnesota Wild.
He spent most of the first half of the AHL season on the sidelines with a broken clavicle, but has four points in nine games with Houston. Brodin was the 10th overall pick in the 2011 draft and he may make his NHL debut during the team's two-game road trip this weekend.

Brodin and Dumba are both around the big club... Interesting.

He has been one of their best D lately ... which isn't saying much, but he really has been good out there. Playing like a poised veteran on D.

Will be interesting to see what happens when Spurgeon returns. If Brodin plays well and has chemistry with Suter than I could see the pairings sticking as:

    Suter - Brodin
    Stoner - Gilbert
    Scandella - Spurgeon

    Pressbox: Falk, Prosser

Backstrom starting tonight and likely Harding tomorrow.

    Aaron Portzline ‏@Aportzline
Backstrom to start for #mnwild tonight vs #CBJ.

    Michael Russo ‏@Russostrib
Looks like Nik Backstrom tonight vs #CBJ, meaning likely Josh Harding tomorrow vs. #Blackhawks

Coyle is being recalled and will most likely make his NHL debut Monday against the 'Yotes.

From Russo's tweets about their practice today it looks like the lines will be:

    Parise - Koivu - Heatley
    PMB - Cullen - Coyle
    Mitchell - Brodz - Clutter
    Powe - Konopka - Seto/Granlund

Granlund will most likely be the healthy scratch. Of course this is only if Cullen is good to go which it sounds like he will be.

With Seto being sent to the fourth line, looks like he is sending him a message. Plus Russo has said lately that Seto is on the trading block as well.

Oh my, how the hyped have fallen. And to think he was often mentioned for the Calder before the season started. Still early in the year, I know, but he certainly isn't the scoring dynamo many thought he would be.
I can't promise I'll try but I'll try to try.
