Standout NCAA defenseman and Hobey Baker award finalist finished his NCAA career this afternoon with 5g and 11a in 9 games played this season. He can choose to wait until August and sign with any team he like or he could sign with the Preds now and burn a year of his ELC and hopefully get atleast a little NHL experience. I haven't watched much of any NCAA lately but Farrance seems to be shakey defensively but excels with the puck on his stick.

if he wants to make the show and play on the powerplay right away, he should sign with nashville.

They have LOTS of openings...... he should sign and play for a bad nhl coach. At least he’d play.

I was totally wrong here. I was under the impression that Boston U wouldn't be in the Frozen Four bracket but they made it and are not finished their season yet.

Saros has had a good western road trip. Looked awesome against Calgary and tonight is robbing the Canucks. Man is he fast on his movements. Askarov could be waiting a while.

Has anyone else looked at Nashville's faceoffs taken stats for this year. They only have 3 played who are averaging more than 4 faceoffs taken per game. Has that ever happened before?

Also, why is Matt Duchene who is a career 54% faceoff guy, not taking faceoffs anymore? Is he playing hurt?

duchene isnt hurt, granlund takes the draws on his line. duchene does come in if granlund gets bumped though.

i didnt notice this trend but definitely very weird.

how much more rope does Poile have?

Another awful deadline day for him. He's long past due to get his ass canned.

Well, let's hope the Poile/Hynes firings happen within the next 2 weeks, unless they somehow have a miracle and beat Colorado. I doubt it.

Duchene played RW all season and it’s the reason for his offensive explosion. The gain in offence is well worth the loss of FOW

Nashville is getting a new majority owner.

This likely means a new GM
This likely means Trotz in some management capacity
This is because he just purchased a home in Nashville

All rumors, but it makes sense that some shake up is coming to the Predators.

I'd be happy with a new jersey scheme cause their current look is horrid.

who knows , maybe the prospective new owner of the preds reached out to Trotz after hearing he's interested in getting into management .

as you say , all speculative .

Barry's wife and son stayed in the washington area while he coached the isles .

    That's possible for sure.

Not sure about these new owners either. Talk on the street is most fans aren't too thrilled with this new owner. Apparently him and his brother are involved in the Cleveland browns too. I'm not too sure.
Hopefully they take Nashville from a middle of the pack team to a true contender.

A true contender. What they need to become a true contender is scorers. It is pretty much the same song and dance. When the teams leading goal scorer out of the gate this season with 6 goals is Nino Neiderreiter than something is not clicking quite right. Now I am not saying Nino isn't a good player because he is, but he should not be the leading goal scorer on this team.

We hear about guys with huge shots like Tolvanen, but it never seems to materialize and what about Cody Glass.

A player like Forsberg needs to step up more, but he can't be the only one. We also can't expect Josi to be the player he was last season.
