It was another frustrating night against Jonathan Quick for Tampa Bay. The Bolts constantly had the Los Angeles Goalie under pressure but failed to convert a half dozen excellent scoring chances from point blank range. Steven Stamkos scored the teams only goal, but also came up empty on several other opportunities from deep in the slot. At this point, one has to wonder if Quick isn't in the head of Tampa Bay's players, who have never scored more than one goal in a game against him.
Dwayne Roloson was better than expected on the other end but had little chance on two of the three goals he surrendered. The first came on a deflection and the second on a clean breakaway. Roloson finished the evening with 17 saves on 20 shots.
Notes: TB played without rookie Brett Connolly, who was again scratched with instructions to continue improving his defensive play. Ryan Malone is still out with an upper-body injury. Marc-Andre Bergeron returned after a three week absence and played just over 13 minutes...
