2 former captains, they also had Brian Boyle

half their blueline wore ranger blue
Consider Sim Hockey because guys who play shutdown minutes, deflect shots and clear creases build championships. Yet in fantasy they litter the unwanted UFA lists.

On his current point streak, Kucherov has 8 goals, 19 assists for 27 points in 12 games.

Then he had one game in there without a point (against Detroit wut wut)

Prior to that he had 5 goals, 19 assists for 24 points in 10 games!

51 points over his last 22 games.

Tampa just took out their frustration from the other night against the Leafs. Pretty dominant effort against the Sharks.

They have been uite dominant all yeal long, even when they lose. Very few teams played up to their level.
Their problems seem to me wether lack of effort or just dumd defensive mistakes.

Wow...Tampa has 50 wins and could very possibly come close to 62 wins, which is the most there has ever been in a season.

At this stage I'll take the over on Kucherov scoring > 130 as well, which hasn't happened in the modern era. Pretty impressive season.

It'll be an interesting playoffs to see if they run away with it, I don't think anyone would be surprised if they did. Hard to picture any team beating them in a best of seven series but as we all know playoffs are a different animal.

Malcolm Gladwell talks about weak link and strong link sports. IE: Basketball is a strong link sport where the team with the best top end players almost always wins. Soccer is a weak link sport where the team with the best 'weakest player' (depth on the field) almost always wins. Hockey is somewhere in the middle in my opinion. Tamps has both top end talent and depth for days, so long as they stay relatively healthy it's hard to bet against them right now.

5 more wins for Tampa. 55 wins with 10 games remaining. Seems very likely they'll at least tie the record.

A bunch of key injuries. I honestly think that's about it.

Jan Rutta re-signs one year $1.3M. Makes sense given how much money has to be spent elsewhere.

Oh good, I was Rutta, Rutta, rooting for him to sign with the Bolts.
