Watched him play last night in a crazy game which Kamloops won 7-6.. He looked good, but it's tough to peg just how much of it is due to the primo ice time and linemates he has... Bartschi showed better in my opinion, not overly fast but has silky smooth hands and made some really nice passes. Derrick Pouliot was the guy who stood out the most to me, he looked really good (1G 2A and he's not even on the top pp unit!).

ths skills are definitely there. pure shooter, but passing has improved as has his skating. next year will be a big year without baertschi carrying some of the weight... should be a lock for the junior team the way things are going... needs to get stronger before a shot in the nig show will come.

Considering that I picked this guy up as a free agent AFTER our entry draft was done, I'm pretty happy. I picked Dougie Hamilton, Matt Puempel, Jakob Silfverberg and Eddie Lack in the draft and then I stole Justin Schultz, Brendan Gallagher, Mark Stone and Ty Rattie as free agents immediately after. Sweet

Your free agent pick ups were just as good as your drafting! Great selections

Seems like Rattie is struggling this series against the Oil kings and Baertschi has taken over.

    Rattie - 3GP 1+2
Baertschi - 4GP 6+1 (3 First stars in a row for the last three games)

Not sure if rattie is carrying an injury as he missed game 2.

Went to game 5 of the WHL finals last in Edmonton. Baertschi looked silky smooth out there and had a few goals. Rattie wasn't as noticable and I'm not sure what he did on the score sheet.

Winterhawks look to be a bloody fast team though!

Rattie had a PPG but was shutdown pretty well all night. Bartschi on the other hand, was pretty damn good. I was at the game as well. Bartschi got 3rd star.

Great game and even better ending! I agree that Baertschi has been more noticeable than Rattie. Could be a lot of future NHL'ers in this series for both teams.

Decent chance that all of Morrow, Reinhart, Pysyk, Gernat, Rattie, Brossoit, Bartschi, Lazar, Lowe, Pouliot, etc. could be NHLers (key word: could)

You could even add more to the list...

Noebels, Wotherspoon, Wrenn, Ross, St. Croix, Samuelsson, Ewanyk, Moroz....I'd say all those players have a decent shot at being NHL players eventually. Freaking amazing the talent on the ice in this series.

For what it's worth I thought Rattie was Portlands most dangerous player in their game 7 loss last night. Perhaps his injury in game 1 had to do with his slightly disappointing series.

Great series though and I'll be rooting hard for the Oil Kings in the Memorial Cup!

What are Ratties' options for next year, is it NHL or back to Junior or is he old enough to go to the AHL??
