Eriksson&Pavelec 4 J.Staal&Varlomov REP GIVEN

I'm looking to improve my goalie situation since I'm in a "win now" mode and Pavelec and Halak have been ruining me. I was able to aquire Ward via trade, but also adding Varlamov would be a nice addition I feel.

He has offered Jordan Staal & Varlamov for my Eriksson & Pavelec.

I value Eriksson higher than Staal
But I think Varlamov will give me more wins and better #s than Pavelec.

Can Staal keep up this scoring pace?
Can the Avs and Varlamov keep up thier pace?

Is Eriksson the biggest chip in this trade?

Any help or comments are appreciated.

Pav's is horrible, I would try and do a st8 for Varly if you can. If you can't then make the deal.

You wont get anything out of Pav.Most likely.

He wants eriksson, and he offered me Jordan Staal and Varly.
Pavelec would be going back his way as I would need to lose a goalie (he doesn't necessarly want Pav but understands he has to take him to get Eriksson).

i would take that trade. stall may not put up the points but his other stats are not to bad, and who knows whats going on with crosby and malkin.
your goalie upgrade is a lot.

While Varly is an upgrade over Pavs (who's horrible btw), you don't really need the help in G since you already have Ward and Halak (be patient with him).

Staal is a nice multi-cat stud in the right format, but I wouldn't give up Eriksson who plays the coveted LW position for him.

This is one of those i totally disagree with the vast majority.
It´s a typical "i only look at the last weeks type". Remember when Pavelec came back last season after his injury and shocked the league with his steller play? Give the guy some time he is on a young team with a pathetic Buff so far that forces him to get tons of high end shots at his goal. Varly was on the IR nearly every two months.

Staal value is very high at the moment with Crosby still out and while i love him his stats right now are a lil inflated cause he gets more PT and had more games than the other teams. Eriksson is brutally undervalued everybody talks about he lost Richards but he proved his self before Richards even was there.

I´d take the Eriksson Pavs side and don´t buy on two buy high candidates and wouldn´t sell my two guys low. At the start of the season you would have never considered that deal.

Agree with a lot of this.

And Pavelec is NOT horrible.
