I had my doubts they would bring him back on the first night of a back to back... I think he'll be back on the 15th...

I don't think so- I actually do believe that he's symptom free but wants to be absolutely sure (which means he'll have to get a few practice "hits" from his teammates and feel comfortable). There's the sense that the Pens dont want Crosby to be the next Lindros, and have recurring concussions end his career. They want to be 100% sure about him, not 95%.

Besides, they've waited this long, they can wait a few more days (or weeks?)

I think he is 100% healthy right now and could play tomorrow if need be, but there is simply no reason to bring him back yet. The team is in first place and look great. Why take even the slightest chance right now? Wait till he is a 110%...

Completely agree... Blysma doesn't care about our fantasy teams, he cares about winning come April and May. What's the point in rushng him back if he is not 100% absolutely, positively sure about Crosby???? Look, I want him back, if not only because it ensures Fleury some more W's on games where he is shaky. But, if you drafted him expecting anything more than 60 games then you are a fool. He'll be back, but it won't be this week. Look for him after Thanksgiving...

I like how the team is handling this. The way he is practicing it is setting him up to be a force right out the gate. The way Neal is playing has my salivating to watch him play with Crosby....

Ya but I've heard rumblings of 11/26 against Montréal as the REAL return date from an NHL fan forum based on a post from a "guy who has a good friend that works in the organization" who said to "take it for what it's worth."

at this point i don't care anymore. i've completely stopped checking the news on crosby. he's in my lineup and he'll start contributing when he does. do i hate how the pens are handling this? yes. can i do anything about it? no.

otherwise, stupid comments from rotowire like this will just get me aggravated when they don't come true:

    Wed, Nov 16
Crosby (concussion)may suit up Saturday against Florida, NHL.com reports.
Recommendation: Crosby has already been ruled out Thursday at Tampa Bay, but the door is left open for him to return against the Panthers on Saturday.

If they really don't know that's one thing but I don't know why'd they'd be so secretive about when he's coming back. To be honest I think they just don't know, people are just reading too much into it.

It isn't about recovering from his concussion at this point, it's about getting him up to speed with the rest of the team. Getting back to 100% in this regard will ultimately be the best way to prevent the recurrence of injury.
